Site assembly, Canning Town

Completed

The site of a London recycling business was held three ways: part freehold, part long leasehold from Newham Council, and a strip occupied without a lease and registered as highway land. We had the highway status removed, through consultation and the courts, then negotiated the purchase of the council's interests, bringing the whole site into the client's ownership.

    Ongoing

    A permitted development scheme of 137 homes, with a car park tied to it by the planning consent. We are amending the consent to reduce the parking, which is the first step in bringing forward a further scheme on the site.

  2. Cladding remediation

    The same building has cladding that needs remediating. We made the application to the government fund and put the team in place, and we are making sure the work is done promptly for the freeholder and in the interests of the leaseholders.

    Our own investment

    Acquired as our own investment and managed by us since. We renegotiated terms with the tenants, cleaned up the estate and ran the planning, raising the income by more than three quarters.

    A house builder that has built more than a thousand homes. We provide strategic advice on planning policy, make sure each scheme is watertight, and procure the teams to deliver it.

  1. Supermarket on Green Belt land, Watford

    A tightly constrained Green Belt site. We secured planning for an 18,000 sq ft unit and sold it to a major national retailer.
